WatchMayor Bloomberg’s appearance on Conan O’Brien last night. This is funny to me because Conan O’Brien is very tall and Michael Bloomberg is very short. Because the camera’s height is set to match Conan’s, this effect is exaggerated, making it appear as though New York were ruled by a tiny little gnome who brings keys as gifts for giants.

I think I like this video because, beyond the standard “this thing plus that thing” joke premise, it actually has some heart and sincerity behind it, which is a pretty rare thing to find in the kind of dumb three-minute comedy videos that guys like us traffic in.
